I'll go with APA, but I don't have a strong reason other than it's the most popular.

Why I became an editor

I am an avid reader with many different interests, especially in the arts. I have worked in the architectural field for many years. Clarity of form (whether in a poem, a painting or a building) is something that is important to me.

Proofreading requires the abilities to think clearly and to focus on the matter at hand. As a person, I strive to apply these abilities to everything I do. If I can make a living striving for this, then so much the better.

Background and experience

I moved to New York to be a painter. To support myself, I have had many different jobs: cab driver, bartender, junior architect and building surveyor to name some.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I enjoy how words are put together. Grammar, punctuation and spelling are part of it (and an important part), but the actual use of words and the structure of writing is what draws me to proofreading. I like creative writing.
