Released at the beginning of March 2023, it’s more advanced, smarter, and has a far greater memory than its predecessors – in fact, its memory is 10 times more powerful than ChatGPT-3.5’s.

The latest iteration of ChatGPT has a far greater knowledge base. Users can now benefit from the most up-to-date information, as the AI tool works through harvesting information online. With previous iterations, there has been some concern over the accuracy of the tool’s output but the makers of GPT themselves have stated that version 4.0 is “40% more likely to produce factual responses than GPT-3.5 based on our internal evaluations.”

Reduced Bias

Reducing bias has been one of the biggest concerns for the fourth iteration of ChatGPT, with efforts being made to continuously make sure inclusivity is always the priority. This is done through various tools such as data filtering and training techniques to avoid the risk of bias in the answers that are generated.

Accessibility

The enhancement of multilingual support within ChatGPT is one of its greatest benefits, with a greater number of users worldwide now being able to access the tool in a variety of languages. This opens up several doors in terms of how businesses can benefit from content creation on a global scale, maximizing the accessibility of their digital resources and activities.

Language Comprehension

ChatGPT-4 may have a far greater understanding of language than previous iterations, making its output a lot more efficient, accurate, and nuanced. ChatGPT-4 and Content Creation

As we all know, ChatGPT has had a staggering impact on the world of content creation, reframing the landscape as we know it. If you’re a content creator yourself, there’s no need to panic – ChatGPT-4 can be used in harmony with organic creation to make truly impactful content. Here are three things to keep in mind when using the latest and greatest iteration.

1. Word Limit

ChatGPT-4 has a far greater word allowance, with a maximum limit of 25,000 words. This is a huge increase from GPT-3.5’s limit of just 3,125 words, unlocking endless possibilities in terms of content creation. 

With such an increased input capacity, you can now provide the tool with a much more detailed context, which is really useful in getting the most out of its output. For example, instead of trawling through a report or research paper for hours on end, you could feed the basic information into GPT-4, and voila! – you have a short and sweet summary with everything you need, contained in an easily readable format for you to pick and choose pieces from for your content.

2. There Isn’t Multimodality (Yet)

One thing to note: there was a lot of speculation prior to the update around the introduction of multimodality with GPT-4, but it has yet to arrive on the GPT network. This feature would enable the tool to accept both text and images simultaneously as a source of input, which OpenAI is currently exploring with a different platform called Be My Eyes. Of course, with the updated maximum word limit this is not so much of an issue!

3. It’s Still Not 100% Accurate

As we mentioned, overall GPT-4 is undoubtedly the most accurate iteration of the AI tool. However, if you’re exploring content creation with GPT, it’s important to keep in mind the undeniable fact that it can (and probably will) still mess up from time to time – just like humans!

With content that relies on accuracy and reliability, this is especially important. Double-check wherever you can and be wary of obtaining factual information without knowing the source. OpenAI commented on this issue when they released the update:

GPT-4 has similar limitations to earlier GPT models: it is not fully reliable (e.g., can suffer from ‘hallucinations’), has a limited context window, and does not learn from experience. Care should be taken when using the outputs of GPT-4, particularly in contexts where reliability is important.”

Remember this when using ChatGPT-4 for your content creation – it could save you several potential headaches down the line!
