Why I became an editor
I studied music at university, which involved instruction in performance, music history and cultural musicology. In addition to my musical studies, I took courses in journalism and creative writing, both of which have helped me to be a clear and flexible writer.
As both a musician and writer, I understand the importance of balancing creativity and clarity to effectively tell a story.

I love stories. Whether it's hearing about someone's day or reading about the origins of the universe, I have always been a sucker for compelling storytelling. I love reading fiction, plays, mythology, philosophy and history.

If I'm not proofreading, you can generally find me teaching yoga to children (from very little to very grown-up), making sourdough or going for a run!
Editing tips:
Every document is different, so I like to read through it first to get a general impression of the author's voice, subject and tone. This helps me understand how best to approach my editing process.
