Why I became an editor
It has been quite a habit for me to point out errors on what I read. Then, I decided I wanted to be better at it! Taking the proofreading course, along with looking up on several grammar and punctuation books, improved my skills – now I can see more errors! They may be baby steps, but learning is a continuous process.
Background and experience
My proofreading and editing experience started with my training at Proofreading Academy and a role at Proofed.
Why I love proofreading and editing
It has always been a pleasure (and leisure) for me to proofread anything printed or even spoken. It may sound geeky, but the thought of a freshly edited material (with words and punctuations in their right places) gives me a sense of fulfilment.
Favorite book:
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
Hobbies:
I love spending time with my family, either just watching movies at home, shopping at the mall, or going on a vacation at some beach!
Editing tips:
I want to read everything first before I do the editing. Spelling and spacings check usually take several runs. Then I re-read everything (it doesn't matter how many times) before turning the material in.
