Why I became an editor
I was a bookworm as a little girl and developed an excellent eye for language and grammar. I later trained as an English language teacher and corrected students’ writing for 10 years. In 2021, I studied proofreading and editing and started working as a copywriter for a marketing company, where I improved texts every day. I'm a self-taught fluent Spanish speaker, and I use this knowledge to specialise in editing English–Spanish texts.
Background and experience
I corrected texts for over 10 years in an English language school and for one year in a marketing company.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I love taking a text and making it impeccable by scanning for errors and improving its flow. There's nothing more satisfying than a perfect text that reads easily and naturally.
Favorite book:
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman is my favorite book.
Hobbies:
In my spare time, you can find me on sunset walks, swimming in the sea, and learning harmonies to double record myself while playing guitar.
Editing tips:
My tip for becoming a great proofreader is to read as many texts as possible so that your eye detects errors effortlessly.
