Why I became an editor
I am currently an English major in college, and I’ve always had a knack for editing and tutoring. I realized that I might be able to make money doing what I was already good at. So, I took an online proofreading course to become a proofreader.

Why I love proofreading and editing
I love how satisfying it is to go through a paper and find all of the mistakes. It’s like solving a puzzle, and I’ve always loved puzzles. I also like that I’m able to help people that don't have an eye for editing to get their ideas across.

My favorite book is Emma by Jane Austen.
Hobbies:
When I’m not proofreading, I love reading books and going to the movies.
Editing tips:
The first thing I do when I open a paper is check for any double spaces and check the numbering format. I also like to check the source formatting so I can correct any errors before I start.
