Favorite referencing style
I have full flexibility to work with any referencing style.
Why I became an editor
I have always had an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Proofreading allows me to apply that precision and excellence to my work.
Background and experience
After graduating university, I pursued my interests in research and education. While working at the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Morris Arboretum, I developed and refined the texts for two public garden exhibits. For the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service, I practiced technical writing while documenting research results as a lab technician. Later, I trained and supervised volunteers at a community food bank. Recently, I taught grammar, spelling, and writing skills to ESL students online.
Why I love proofreading and editing
Helping my clients present their best work motivates me to do my best work.
Favorite book:
Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing
Hobbies:
When I'm not proofreading, I enjoy reading, sewing, and traveling to visit family.
Editing tips:
I begin each project with respect for the author and their goals.
