Favorite referencing style

APA style is my favorite referencing style because it's the one I'm most familiar with.

Why I became an editor

Ever since I can remember, I've been an avid reader. Lord of the Rings was the first time I became interested in the actual process of proofreading. Working with an author's words and preserving their voice was an interesting concept that I wanted to explore.

About a year ago, I started the Knowadays course, and I quickly realized that this was what I wanted to do as a career. Being able to help elevate someone's writing while doing something I love has been a dream come true.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I love the satisfaction of going through a piece of writing line by line and cleaning it up. Seeing the difference I can make is a great feeling.

A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, Hyperion by Dan Simmons, The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker, and Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Hobbies:

When I'm not proofreading, I'm usually taking care of my kids, reading, or playing video games.

Editing tips:

Before I start proofreading, I always check for any accidental double spaces.
