Proofed Announced as North American Inspiring Workplace Award 2022 Finalist

We are delighted to announce that Proofed has been selected as a finalist in the 2022 North American Inspiring Workplace Awards! The award celebrates forward-thinking, people-first companies, so to be in the running for Inspiring Workplace of the Year is a great honor!

Originally established in 2014, the Inspiring Workplace Awards are judged by a panel of experts based on six criteria: culture and purpose, leadership, wellbeing, inclusion, communication, and creating an empowering experience, all of which inform our thinking at Proofed.

Award winners will be selected based on how leaders within nominated companies deliver a better experience for their colleagues and gain a competitive advantage for their organizations.

At Proofed, we’ve long fostered a work culture that centers wellbeing and inclusion. All of our editors are encouraged to work how they want, when they want. We do this by allowing them to take on work on an entirely flexible basis, meaning they can structure their working weeks to suit their needs. The fact that the work is remote, with no minimum or maximum hours per week, also makes us a popular choice for women (who comprise over 75% of our editors), mothers, people with physical disabilities, students, and retirees. Many people who have struggled to find employment elsewhere have been able to find stimulating, rewarding work with Proofed.

Likewise, our leadership team is built on a policy of promoting from within: 75% of our manager-level team members were promoted from either the editorial team or other internal positions, making them inspirational role models for new team members hoping to climb the ladder. We believe in the person, not their background, selecting those with the greatest enthusiasm for lifelong learning to become our team leads. Consequently, all our leaders are proponents of our key values: enthusiasm, potential, and passion for continuous education.
